Rachel is a 2016 graduate of Northern Michigan University. While
pursuing a BS in Entrepreneurship she worked at Invent@NMU as a
Project Manager helping clients bring their product and small
business ideas to life. After graduating she took a contract position
with NMU to continue working with the Invent@NMU program as
Program Liaison. In this capacity she was responsible for
representing the program to external clients and oversaw the day-
to-day activities of the student team of business, engineering,
design and special projects students.
In May 2017 she transferred to Innovate Marquette SmartZone
shortly before they took on a contract with NMU to manage the
Invent@NMU program on behalf of the university. She has
experience in a variety functions including event
planning/management, public speaking, media engagements,
project and team management, grant reporting, and client
consulting using Growthwheel software.
A southern U.P. native, Rachel grew up in the village of Perronville
and attended K-12 school in Bark River. She has called Marquette
home since 2012 and presently serves on the Connect Marquette
